This Privacy Policy explains how unaba ("unaba," "we," "us") handles information when you visit www.unaba.us (the "Site"). The Site is a brand site: you can read about our bar and our notes here, and buy the bar on Amazon.
1. Information we collect
You don't give us information on the Site. There are no accounts, sign-up forms, or checkout on the Site.
Information collected automatically when you visit. Like most websites, the Site and the services it uses receive basic technical information from your browser: the pages you view, the site that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This comes from:
- Google Analytics, which uses cookies to tell visits apart (see Section 3).
- Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which measure page views and page performance without cookies. Vercel identifies a visit with a hash that resets every day, so it can't follow you across days or across other websites.
- Our hosting provider (Vercel), whose servers process your IP address, browser information, and the address of the page you request in order to deliver the Site.
- Google Fonts. The Site loads a font from Google's servers, so your browser sends your IP address and browser information to Google when the font is requested.
If you email us. If you write to us at the address in Section 13, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Purchases. When you click through to buy, you leave the Site. Amazon handles your order and payment under its own privacy notice. We don't receive your payment details from the Site.
2. How we use information
We use this information to run and secure the Site, to understand which pages are read and how visitors find us so we can improve the Site, and to reply when you email us. We don't use it to show you advertising.
3. Cookies and Google Analytics
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (for example, _ga) to recognize returning visits and measure how the Site is used. Google processes this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
We have set up Google Analytics with its advertising features turned off. Advertising storage, ad user data, and ad personalization are always denied, so your visit isn't used for advertising.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland: Google Analytics runs without analytics cookies by default, and we don't ask you to change that. No Google Analytics cookie is set on your device.
Your choices: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. The Site works normally either way.
4. Do Not Track and similar signals
The Site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals or Global Privacy Control signals. Section 3 describes the ways you can limit analytics instead.
5. Services that receive information
| Service | What it does for the Site | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Vercel Inc. | Hosting, Web Analytics, Speed Insights | United States |
| Google LLC | Google Analytics, Google Fonts | United States |
| HAWS (operated by Dongcheon Park) | Website development and maintenance, analytics administration | United States |
Other than Google Analytics as described in Section 3, we don't allow other parties to collect information about your online activities over time and across websites through the Site.
Links to other sites. Links to Amazon, Instagram, and TikTok take you to those services. They're plain links, not embedded content. Once you follow one, that service's own privacy notice applies.
6. Sharing and selling
We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The services in Section 5 process information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the Site and its visitors.
7. How long information is kept
Google Analytics data is kept for a limited period set in our Google Analytics account and is then deleted automatically. Vercel keeps analytics in aggregated form and retains server logs under its own practices. We keep emails you send us for as long as we need them to respond and keep a record of our correspondence.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to ask what personal information we have about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and not to be treated differently for making such a request. Because the Site doesn't collect information that identifies you by name, we usually hold nothing about you other than emails you've sent us. To make a request, contact us using the details in Section 13.
9. Children
The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
10. Visitors outside the United States
The Site is operated from the United States, and the services in Section 5 process information in the United States. If you visit from elsewhere, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
11. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the Site and the information it handles, and we rely on well-established providers for hosting and analytics. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the updated version on this page and update the effective date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll make it clear on this page.
